Standard Brick Works and Clay Mine was located near the former coal mining town of Bayne King County WA .
A large brick plant was constructed around 1910 near Bayne for the manufacturing of paving bricks. Shales were located on the hillside above the plant for gravity handling to the plant. Although equipped with modern machinery of the day, the plant failed to produce salable bricks. After continued experimentation the plant was finally scrapped.
