We Will appreciate and protect our heritage of natural resources, wildlife, and private property.

We Will keep informed on and obey all laws, regulations, and rules governing federal, state, and local public lands. 

We Will observe the “Golden Rule,” using outdoor manners and conducting myself at all times in a manner that will add to the stature and public image of all people engaged in Ghost Towning.

We Will not litter.

We Will not destroy, damage, or vandalize property, buildings, or what is left of ghost towns and deserted historical structures.

We Will not tamper with signs, structural facilities, or equipment.

We Will increase public awareness of the Historical Significance of Ghost Towns.

OUR PURPOSE

Ghost Towns of Washington is a website created to share tangible
historical experiences of Washington's early mining and lumber communities.

Conveying an understanding and appreciation of these communities
and the people who forged them.

Assisting in ensuring this heritage is passed on to future generations by exhibiting, respecting, and promoting historic town sites.

Promoting preservation by partnering with local and regional historical institutions and associations.

Sharing the importance of history its relationship to the region, and beyond, to audiences of all ages and interests.
